For this riding program you should have reasonable riding experience. You should be competent and comfortable in walk, trot and canter, sit equilibrated and independent of the reins.
The guide is expressively allowed to adapt the ride or exclude riders, who´s level does not correspond to the one indicated above.
Arrival at hotel in Arcos de la Frontera, if booked.
1st day: We will pick you up in Arcos to drive to the horses, some 15 kms away. After tacking up we start the trail through the open fields that form the landscape near Arcos. Here we have the possibility to try all paces, wald, trot and canter. We will stop for a picnic-lunch in the shadow of some giant oak trees, then follow our way uphill and through a corc forest, that leads us to today´s aim, the roman salt mines Iptuci near Prado del Rey, just on the limit of the two Nature Parks Sierra de Grazalema and Los Alcornocales. Transport to hotel in Prado del Rey.
2nd day: Transport to the horses and tacking up. We start the trail following the track to the neighbour village El Bosque, beautyful little town at the entrance of the Nature Reserve. We will stop to visit the local water mill, which is still making flour just with the power of the water. If we are lucky, we can buy fresh bread from the mill´s bakery. After that we cross the little river of El Bosque and folow the foothills of Sierra Margerita. Picnic-lunch will be in a spot with great views and shadow. On we go under oaktrees until we reach the open land again, with rolling hills and goats and sheep. We will finish at a local winery, where we can taste a really good red wine.
3rd day:
